Checks whether the supplier can interpret the design, construction and overall look.
A practical framework for international importers, retailers and brands—from the first RFQ to approved sample, production control and shipment readiness.
India offers a very broad home-textile supplier base. That is useful only when the buyer can compare suppliers against one clear brief. The fastest way to create confusion is to send a photograph and ask every factory for “best price” without fixing the construction and commercial assumptions.

| Compare | Questions to normalize before choosing price |
|---|---|
| Material | Same fibre, yarn/fabric construction, weight and grade? |
| Process | Same weave/tuft/print/embroidery/finish and same subcontracting assumptions? |
| Product | Same dimensions, tolerance, backing, filling, trims and workmanship standard? |
| Packaging | Same labels, retail pack, inserts, assortment and master carton? |
| Testing | Are mandatory tests/certificates included, excluded or assumed? |
| Commercial | Same MOQ, currency, incoterm/payment basis, sample charges and delivery assumptions? |
Checks whether the supplier can interpret the design, construction and overall look.
Record measurable changes—dimensions, shade, weave/print, stitching, weight, handfeel, finish or packing.
Freeze the standard that production and inspection will be compared against.

Core operating base for rugs, bathmats, cushions, throws, blankets and related home-furnishing made-ups.
Connected specialist rug/carpet sourcing when the construction benefits from those clusters.
Connected textile and blanket/fleece supply relationships for selected programs.
Product-linked inputs or specialist material capabilities when the buyer brief requires them.
Send the product/reference image, dimensions, material or construction, weight/GSM or other relevant specification, colour/design, quantity, labels, packing, destination market and target timing. Include test/certification requirements if they are mandatory.
Suppliers may be pricing different material quality, construction, weight, processes, packing, testing, MOQ assumptions or commercial terms. The RFQ should be normalized before comparing unit prices.
For custom or private-label programs, a clearly approved reference is one of the most useful controls. Record any corrections and ensure the production standard is understood before bulk.
Choose by product capability and supply-chain fit. A cluster may be strong in a category, but the factory still needs the correct construction, quality system, capacity, MOQ and commercial behavior for your order.
Send what you have. We can identify which dimensions, material, quality, packing or testing details need to be clarified before comparing suppliers.
