Inspection Against the Buyer's Released Requirement
For machinery, visual appearance alone is not enough. Inspection should reference the drawing/BOM, approved sample/model, material requirement, tolerances and agreed functional test plan.
Dimensions & Fit
Critical dimensions, hole centres, hitch points, shafts, mounting faces, clearances and tolerances as identified by the buyer.
Material & Process
Material certificates where required, casting/fabrication appearance, welds, machining, heat treatment or coating evidence according to the inspection plan.
Components & Assembly
BOM items, bearings, blades, gears, guards, fasteners, labels, lubrication points and loose accessories checked against approved requirements.
Functional Checks
Rotation, movement, no-load operation or other buyer-specified checks can be witnessed where safe and practical.
Special Tests
Load, performance, metallurgy, hardness, NDT or regulatory tests should follow the buyer's agreed method and may require a specialist laboratory or technical agency.
Packing & Dispatch
Quantity, loose parts, manuals, markings, rust protection, packing strength and container loading can be checked before dispatch.
Give Us the Inspection Standard Before Production
The clearer the drawing/BOM and test plan, the less room there is for supplier interpretation.
